And she was gone
She's been living in the shadows,
She trips easily as the wind blows;
She's trapped in the vicious circle;
She's torn and was left shattered.
She's been crying all along,
Doubting where she belongs;
Asking why she don't fit-in;
Asking how to blend-in.
She wants to, but she's afraid to-,
She likes to, but she's scared to-;
She can, but she chooses not to-;
She will, but she neglects it too.
But she asked herself a question,
"Am I living just to gain attention?
Am I living to follow their instructions?
Do I deserve this degrading accusation?"
The answer is "No," she says,
"Because the woman of wisdom will stay;
I own myself and only me;
This is the time to break free."
Boundaries and limitations-no more,
Let out a sigh and one loud roar;
She's got no one but herself alone;
She's stepping out from the bottom zone.
"And she was gone," words to say,
The old her was thrown away;
She undergone a beautiful metamorphosis;
She breathe to take some risks.
If people throws you stones,
Smile and raise your head up high;
Sticks and stones may break your bones;
Spread your wings and aim to fly!
